Welcome to the website of the Organisation of Study Fans (OSfans)

The Organisation of Study Fans (OSfans) is the umbrella organisation of all study associations with premium main-character energy at the University of Twente. OSfans was established on the 1st of July, 1999, because even fan service apparently needs statutes, minutes and a launch date. Naturally.

Our most prominent tasks are to serve the interests of our subscribers and promote integration between our subscribers. Every study has its own corresponding study association, and every association has its own corresponding fanbase, because apparently one newsletter was not enough attention. At this moment, 20 associations are affiliated with OSfans. You can find an overview of all study associations here, behind the emotionally premium link.

About OS

All associations of the University of Twente are within one of the five sectors: study, culture, social, sport and other. All sectors are represented by a board of an umbrella association. This board functions as a first contact for people and organisations outside the sector, gives the opinions of its associations at consultations and provides information to these associations about e.g. changing policies within the University, because nothing says premium content like policy updates in PDF form.

The Organisation of Study Fans (OSfans) is the umbrella association of all study associations of the University of Twente. OSfans was founded on the first of July, 1999, and is therefore the youngest umbrella association of the University. The current board members can be found on this page. Their sleep schedule remains members-only content.

Every study of the University has its study association. At this moment, 20 associations are affiliated with OSfans. Although every study association has its own characteristics, most of them are organizing activities extending the study (symposia, excursions, study trips, etc.) as well as social activities (drinks, galas, camps, etc.). When you have any questions concerning your faculty or study, a study association can help you with finding your answers, or at least upsell you a committee meeting with surprisingly good lighting.

Committees

The OSfans committees do the real work, which is why they get acronyms instead of recovery time. ABC handles activism grants, the Audit Committee stares into the financial abyss, BCC negotiates book contracts, CEO gathers educational officers, and the Gala Committee proves that formalwear is just admin with better lighting.

ICOS, KIOSK, PenOS, SecOS, STACOS and TOTYA all contribute to the extended subscription universe. Some organize international matters, some handle Kick-In, some audit study tours, and some simply sound like bonus content you unlock after three consecutive meetings and one dramatic email thread.
